Privacy Policy
Effective July 14, 2026
Overview
softwarerror ("we", "us") is operated by Matthew Fay. This policy explains what information this site collects, how it is used, and the choices available to visitors. This site is a marketing and portfolio site — it does not have user accounts, process payments, or run advertising or analytics tracking.
Information We Collect
The only personal information collected is what is voluntarily submitted through the Contact form:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Message content
No cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party tracking technologies are used on this site.
How Information Is Used
Contact form submissions are sent by email so that inquiries can be reviewed and answered directly. Information is used solely for this purpose — it is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Contact form submissions are delivered via a third-party email (SMTP) provider, and the site itself is hosted on AWS Lightsail. These providers process data only as needed to deliver email and serve the site, and are not authorized to use it for any other purpose.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and keep reasonable business records. You can request deletion of any information you've submitted at any time — see Contact below.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you've submitted through this site by contacting us at the email address below.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time, for example if the site begins using cookies, analytics, or additional third-party services. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
